We played here on sunday
Somerset House.. it was one of our best gigs ever i think. We all came off the stage beaming.. when a gig goes well it's a wonderful feeling. Especially at such a beautiful venue. Not so sure about the beauty of my fat face on a big screen but i was hidden from that on stage..
One of us played twice that night, that man was Alex J. Ward, Guillemots horn-blower, who also played the opening slot his happy-go-lucky jingle-jangle poster duo Dead Days Beyond Help
..available for children's parties and wedding receptions.. Alex recently used the word "shitheads" when he got cross with a mobile phone company person.. it was a fine moment for anyone who witnessed it
And finally.. . this man manages Guillemots
Honest.

At Glastonbury there was another gig.. in the sneaky hours of saturday morning myself, Kev and Steve from Longstone met up with Aaron Liddard (Amy Winehouse) and the legendary Nik Turner (Hawkwind, ICU etc) for a special improvised gig.

look at this
(the link is the title - just click on it. Yeah. Impressive eh. .. pretty FUCKING CLEVER EH.)
Forgot to mention this site. Amazing pictures. I don't know too much about art history so I'm sure there's people out there who will think these look just like someone else's pictures or something, but to my mind they're pretty damn good and original.

mmm
Coffee and recording. They're such a good combination. I'm only having one coffee a day.. you only really need one. The first one. It's a good feeling. . especially when combined with a grilled halloumi and homous sandwhich from Broadway Market. Very fine. It definitely feels like we're making a record now because it's got to that stage where none of us are getting in til 1 in the afternoon because we were all up til 2 or 3 the night before. At which point red wine replaces coffee as the recording drink. There's something about recording at night - you feel like one of the workers in Charlie's Chocolate Factory or something. Secretly working away in the night while most people you know are asleep. Don't really know why I'm posting this. There's plenty of times when recording's stressful but when it's going well it's - well, a nice existence in a world of sound.
